Wednesday Nights On Wednesday evenings, during the school year we gather for dinner in the Fellowship Hall, followed by a 45 minute program in the youth rooms. It is a great time to take a break from homework and join other youth for Bible study, fellowship and prayer. Sunday Nights Youth Group is offered on Sunday evenings for Middle School and High School Youth. See the schedule below for exact times. During this time, we share a meal, fellowship together and participate in Bible Study and mission projects. Other youth group activities include: Presbytery-wide retreats, Ski trips, Mission trips, Montreat Youth Conference, and much more! Youth Sunday School Our purpose is to provide a comfortable place for young people in grades 6-12 to grow in their faith during these formative years. Our goal is to help youth as they explore Scripture and their faith so they can apply it to their lives and become faithful disciples. Beginning in 6th grade, our youth work through a comprehensive plan that includes a survey of the Old Testament, the New Testament, a confirmation curriculum in 8th grade and a review of the Bible through their high school years. To complement our Youth Sunday School programs we also offer more intensive Bible studies and fellowship activities throughout the week. Trips, Retreats, and Conferences We offer a balance of recreation, worship, service, and education in our excursions throughout the year. Skiing offers a chance for fellowship while enjoying God’s creation in the chilly outdoors, Presbytery retreats and the Montreat Youth Conference offer a combination bible study and fellowship, worship, and recreation with youth from around the state and throughout the Country, and our Mission Trips provide youth with both awareness of the vast need throughout our local area, the nation, and the world while offering an opportunity for service, fellowship, and worship with each other and the people where we are. We are a Safe Place Church – committed to the safety and well-being of our children, youth and adults. If you are interested in viewing our Safe Place Policy you may download it here. The goal of Youth Ministry at EPC is to promote discipleship through
worship, fellowship, service, study, play and to build and strengthen our relationship with God and each other. It is our intention that
through these things relationships with God and each other will be built
and strengthened. During these formative years, the youth of EPC will
be given opportunities to participate in worship, to develop leadership
skills and to learn what it means to be part of a congregation, with the
hope that as they become adults they will be excited and prepared to
serve within the church.
