Children's Ministry

Children’s Sunday School

The purpose of Sunday School for preschool and elementary children is to teach them Bible stories and nurture them in the Christian faith. The foundation laid in these early years is important. We seek to provide a place where children feel they belong and are important to the life of the church.

First Grade Worship Education

This 12 week training for First Graders is offered every year during the 11:00 worship service.

Children will learn how we worship, why we worship and the parts of the worship service.

Specifically children will learn the Lord's Prayer, the Doxology, the Gloria Patri, how to read a hymn, how to read the bulletin and how to take an active part in the worship service.

Communion Education

Once a year, in the fall before World Communion Sunday, Communion Education is offered to 3rd-5th graders and their parents.

The Associate Pastor and the Director of Christian Education give information about the "who, what, where, why and how" of The Lord's Supper.

Parents and children can then make an informed decision about participating in the Lord's Supper.

Vacation Bible School

One week each summer, EPC hosts VBS for the entire church family. This five-night program is held in the evening from 5:00pm-8:00pm, beginning with a light supper.  Vacation Bible School engages the mind, body and spirit as we explore God's promises through music, drama, crafts, study and more!

Summer Sizzle

Each summer a broad range of programs, activities, camps and trips are offered for all ages.  Look for a Summer Sizzle brochure with all the details and opportunities!
